On a recent business trip, I used Twitter to create some excellent relationships.
Here’s the quick version of what I did…
- I made some meetings using email and the telephone
- I searched for meeting attendees on Twitter
- I followed meeting attendees on Twitter
This helped tremendously with the introductions and conversations.
Even though I had never met some of these folks, I felt comfortable knowing a bit more about them before I actually shook their hands.
Even for the folks I did already know, I was able to find out what was on their minds within the last few days or weeks.
Twitter: Great for in-person communications!
